In the 1980s, the Australian Labour Party was in power, with Mr Bob Hawke as Prime Minister and Mr Mike Young as Immigration Minister. Australia was welcoming a large number of migrants from all parts of the world. Like other host countries, Australia was interested in attracting business migrants to invest and conduct business in the country.

The government conceived a new business migration policy by actively approaching prospective applicants, involving the appointment of Accredited Business Migration Agents who were entrusted with the responsibility to assess the business skills of the applicants on behalf of the Australian Government. I was one of those Accredited Agents and commenced my migration practice in 1988.
Prior to that, upon arriving in Australia as a new migrant in 1978, I soon utilised my ACIS qualification to register myself as a Registered Tax Agent. Therefore, when I resigned from Tech-Rentals, I held two licenses: both as a Registered Tax Agent and an Accredited Business Migration Agent.
As of 2025, I had been an Accredited Business Migration Agent and later a Registered Migration Agent for 24 years, before I discontinued my registration in 2011, following the advice of my Cardiologist, consequent to an open-heart surgery. I continued my career in accounting and have now been a Registered Tax Agent in Australia for over 45 years.

My experience as a Registered Agent in migration and accounting has provided me with extensive experience in dealing with a variety of different scenarios, each presenting its unique challenges. While working on each case for my accounting and migration clients, I have to research on the legal requirements of the relevant Accounting or Migration Acts and Regulations, analyse the situation of my client and present our considered facts and supporting arguments to the authorities.
In my 24 years of experience as a Registered Migration Agent, I have had the opportunity to represent my clients in numerous hearings of the Migration Review Tribunal and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
I had assisted over 400 students in studying in Switzerland, the UK, New Zealand, and Australia, as well as more than 1,500 families in migrating from various parts of the world to Australia.

Over the last six years, I have been training qualified accountants to acquire the necessary ‘supervised training hours’ to assist them in applying for admission to the Registered Practitioners Board in Australia. Currently, I am involved in an accounting franchise, providing training to 12 qualified accountants who are either Chartered Accountants, CPAs, or individuals with double degrees.
In assisting my accounting and migration clients over the past 40 years I have accumulated a lot of cases, and I have included a number of them in the Languages Section of this site. I hope visitors of this site would enjoyed reading some of the articles included.
